Part of the romance and adventure of visiting Uganda is staying in the safari lodgings throughout the country. At Murchison Falls, you may be in a tree house tent cabin overlooking the Victoria Nile. In Mweya, you might stay in an upscale safari inn overlooking the Kazinga Channel where you will take a water safari by boat. Near Kibale, your lodging may be in individual cottages on an old African plantation owner’s estate where you can buy Shea Butter lotions made on the farm. At Bwindi, your home may be an upscale tent cottage or banda with an open-air shower. Hot water will be ready for you after your gorilla tracking from individual drums of water heated by a wood-burning fire just before your return. At Lake Mburo, you’ll stay on a hilltop in an open-air lodge and beautifully designed tent cottages looking over the lake and valley full of the game of zebras and leopards and more awaiting your morning drive.
