Terms & Conditions
Tour costs and payments: Each tour is priced individually based on your requests.
Deposit and final payment: 20% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, 40% of total tour cost is due 120 days before tour begins and the balance 60 days before the tour begins. Payments may be made in cash wire to bank account, credit card via PayPal on the internet, or check. Payments may be sent directly to CEU in Uganda or to the designated U.S. contact. Credit Card payments are made with a 7 – 9% surcharge.
Tour includes: Airport transfers, double occupancy lodging, all meals on safari, all activities on safari including park fees, applicable permits ($500 pp per trek@ gorilla permits), professional driver/guide fees, all transportation and fuel per itinerary, all admission fees related to safari excursions. All bookings are subject to availability.
Additional expenses – not included: International airfare, airport departure fees and taxes, single supplement lodging where possible, alcoholic beverages and sodas, laundry, travel insurance/accident/baggage/cancellation insurance, excursions not included in itinerary, medical expenses, full international medical insurance and medical-evacuation, telephone or fax charges, all lodging, meals and other expenditures in Kampala/Entebbe prior to and following actual safari itinerary, tips and gratuities.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made in writing to CEU. Initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. Notification begins on date of receipt by CEU of cancellation. Client receives 75% refund 90 days or longer before the trip begins. 50% refund 60 – 89 days before trip begins. 25% refund 31 – 59 days before trip begins. No refund 30 days or less before trip begins.
Alterations of tour: CEU reserves the right to alter any route or arrangement or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour if conditions necessitate. No refunds will be made if a client fails to attend or complete a booked tour. CEU has no responsibility for any additional costs if a client fails to join a tour or any part of the tour by the required time or leave prior to its completion. No refunds for any unused part of the tour.
Liability: All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that CEU and its agents act only as agents in all maters relating to hotel/lodge accommodations, tours, transport, etc. CEU does not accept liability for injury, dealy, loss or damage in any manner whatsoever. CEU reserve the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or part of the services agreed to be supplied. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda. CEU is not responsible for loss or damage to baggage or personal belongings.
Animal viewing: Although CEU has a very high experience of animal viewing on safari, there are no guarantees of seeing any particular animal on any particular safari, since nature is our guide. It is a great privilege to see animals in their wild domain.
Gorilla and chimp trekking: Gorilla permits provide you the opportunity to track gorillas, but does not guarantee that gorillas will be in plain sight. Park Rangers will give pre-tracking briefings and establish rules and regulations that must be adhered to. CEU has no responsibility for individuals who are rejected or terminated by Park Authorities for not observing rules and regulations to protect the animals. Anyone with signs of communicable disease or under the age of 15 will not be allowed to track gorillas.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to track chimpanzees.
